RESOLVE PRIVACY POLICY
Effective August 20, 2026
Resolve asks you for some of the most personal information you have — about your separation,
your household, and your children. We think you're owed a plain account of what we do with it.
This Privacy Policy applies to resolveparentingplans.com, app.resolveparentingplans.com,
and related services operated by Resolve MEM, LLC.
The short version
● Your Parenting Plan and the family information you provide to build it are not sold and
are not shared with advertisers.
● We use the OpenAI API to assist with drafting portions of your Parenting Plan.
Information relevant to the section being drafted may be processed by OpenAI as
described below.
● We use analytics and advertising technologies, including Meta Pixel and Hotjar, on our
marketing website. These tools do not receive the contents of your Parenting Plan or
your plan-builder answers.
● We use third-party service providers to operate Resolve, including hosting, payments,
document generation, communications, analytics, and AI-assisted drafting.
● You can ask to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information by emailing
support@resolve.family.
The rest of this Policy explains those points in more detail.
1. Information you give us
Account information
We may collect:
● your name;
● email address;
● phone number;
● login and authentication information; and
● account preferences and status.
Information about your family and Parenting Plan
This is the core of the Resolve service and may include sensitive information.
Depending on the choices you make and the information you provide, we may collect:
● your name and legal name;
● your address, phone number, and email address;
● your co-parent's name and legal name;
● your co-parent's address, phone number, and email address;
● your children's names, initials, dates of birth, gender, grade, and school information;
● your state, county, and case number, where provided;
● parenting schedules and exchange arrangements;
● holiday, school-break, vacation, transportation, travel, relocation, overnight, and
modification preferences;
● education-related information;
● health, medical, mental-health, therapy, counseling, allergy, special-needs, or
special-education information you choose to provide;
● religious-upbringing preferences;
● extracurricular and activity information;
● household and living arrangements;
● structured answers you provide throughout the course and plan builder; and
● free-text information you choose to enter.
Please do not provide information that is not necessary to use the service.
Payment information
Payments are processed by third-party payment providers, including Stripe.
Resolve does not receive or store your full payment-card number. We may receive transaction
confirmations, payment status, limited billing details, and other information needed to manage
your purchase.
Support and feedback
We collect information you provide when you contact us for support, submit feedback, report a
problem, or otherwise communicate with Resolve.
2. Information collected automatically
When you use Resolve or visit our websites, we and our service providers may automatically
collect certain technical and usage information, such as:
● IP address;
● device and browser type;
● operating system;
● approximate location derived from IP address;
● pages viewed;
● referring URLs;
● timestamps;
● interactions with the website or application; and
● technical information about errors or performance.
We collect this information through cookies, analytics technologies, logs, and similar tools.
3. Information about children
Resolve is designed for adults. Children do not create Resolve accounts, and we do not
knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 18.
However, creating a Parenting Plan necessarily involves information about minor children.
Parents and legal guardians may provide information such as:
● names and initials;
● dates of birth;
● gender;
● school and grade;
● schedules;
● health or special-needs information;
● education information;
● extracurricular activities; and
● other information relevant to parenting arrangements.
We use this information to provide the Resolve service and generate the Parenting Plan
requested by the parent or guardian.
We do not sell children's information, use it for advertising, or share Parenting Plan
information with advertising partners.
Information about children may be processed by service providers that help us operate Resolve,
including OpenAI for AI-assisted drafting and PDFShift for document conversion, as described
below.
4. Information about your co-parent
You may provide information about another parent or adult, including their name and contact
information.
We use that information to:
● create and maintain your Parenting Plan;
● populate relevant plan provisions;
● support collaboration features where available; and
● contact your co-parent if you choose to invite them to participate.
If another person believes Resolve holds personal information about them, they may contact
support@resolve.family to request access, correction, or deletion where applicable.
Please do not provide or use another person's contact information in a manner that violates a
protective order, restraining order, no-contact condition, or other legal restriction.
5. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
● create and manage your account;
● provide the course and Parenting Plan builder;
● generate Parenting Plan language based on your answers;
● create and provide downloadable documents;
● process payments;
● provide customer support;
● authenticate users and maintain account security;
● send service-related email and SMS messages;
● provide reminders and updates about your progress through Resolve;
● understand how the product is used;
● diagnose errors and improve the service;
● prevent fraud, misuse, or security problems;
● send marketing communications where permitted by law and subject to applicable
choices; and
● comply with legal obligations.
We do not use the contents of your Parenting Plan or your plan-builder answers to target
advertising to you.
6. AI-assisted drafting
Resolve uses the OpenAI API to assist with drafting portions of your Parenting Plan.
When a section of your plan is generated, Resolve sends OpenAI a text prompt containing
information relevant to that section.
Depending on the section and the information you have provided, that prompt may include:
● parent or co-parent information;
● children's names, initials, or dates of birth;
● schedules;
● education information;
● health-related information;
● religious-upbringing preferences;
● extracurricular information;
● structured course answers;
● family circumstances; and
● free-text responses you have entered.
Resolve sends information relevant to the particular section being drafted. We do not currently
upload completed Parenting Plan PDFs, attachments, files, or full document archives to
OpenAI.
OpenAI does not use data submitted through its API to train its general-purpose models by
default unless the customer has explicitly opted into data sharing.
OpenAI may retain certain API data for limited periods for service operation and abuse
monitoring, subject to OpenAI's applicable data controls and retention policies.
Resolve uses OpenAI's Responses API. We configure our use of the API to minimize
unnecessary storage where technically available.
AI-generated language can contain mistakes, omissions, or wording that does not accurately
reflect what you intended.
You are responsible for reviewing your Parenting Plan carefully before relying on it,
sharing it, signing it, or filing it.
Resolve's AI-assisted drafting systems do not independently decide what parenting
arrangements you should choose and do not make legal or similarly significant decisions about
you.
7. When we share information
We share personal information with service providers that help us operate Resolve.
These providers may include:
OpenAI
Provides AI-assisted drafting through the OpenAI API and processes information included in
plan-generation prompts.
Supabase
Provides database services, authentication, account management, and private file storage.
Vercel
Provides application hosting and technical infrastructure.
Stripe
Processes payments and related transaction information.
PostHog
Provides product analytics within the Resolve application where enabled. Session recording is
disabled in the current application configuration.
PDFShift
Converts Parenting Plan content from HTML into downloadable PDF documents.
In the standard conversion flow used by Resolve, PDFShift processes the document for
conversion and does not store the generated PDF for us.
Generated PDFs may separately be stored in Resolve's private storage infrastructure to support
downloading or sharing features.
Google Maps and Google Places
May provide address autocomplete and related location functionality where enabled.
Mailgun
Provides email-delivery services.
GoHighLevel
Provides customer relationship management and messaging support.
Resolve may send GoHighLevel:
● name;
● email address;
● phone number; and
● status or progress information about where a user is in the Resolve process.
Resolve does not send Parenting Plan answers, Parenting Plan content, children's
information from the plan, or other detailed family-plan information to GoHighLevel.
Hotjar
Provides marketing-site analytics and helps us understand how visitors interact with the Resolve
marketing website.
Meta
Provides advertising measurement and related advertising services on the Resolve marketing
website.
Meta does not receive the contents of your Parenting Plan or plan-builder answers through
Resolve's advertising implementation.
Legal requirements
We may disclose information if reasonably necessary to:
● comply with applicable law;
● respond to a subpoena, court order, or other valid legal process;
● protect the rights, safety, or property of Resolve, our users, or others;
● investigate fraud or abuse; or
● enforce our Terms of Service.
Where legally permitted and appropriate, we may notify you of a legal request for your
information.
Business transfers
If Resolve is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of
all or part of its business, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
At your direction
We may share information when you specifically ask us to do so, such as when you use
features that allow you to invite or collaborate with a co-parent.
8. How we protect information
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal
information.
These include encrypted connections for normal production data transmission and access
controls designed to limit access to user information.
Resolve also uses infrastructure providers that maintain their own security controls.
Access to production information may be available to authorized administrators, developers,
contractors, or service providers when necessary to operate, maintain, support, or secure the
service.
No method of transmission, storage, or security is perfect, and we cannot guarantee absolute
security.
If a security incident involving personal information occurs, we will provide notices required by
applicable law.
9. Cookies, analytics, and advertising
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate Resolve and understand how our websites
and application are used.
Our marketing website uses analytics and advertising technologies including Meta Pixel and
Hotjar.
These technologies may collect information such as:
● browser or device identifiers;
● IP address;
● pages viewed;
● referral information; and
● interactions with our marketing website.
We use this information to understand marketing performance, improve our website, and
measure advertising campaigns.
Meta, Hotjar, and other advertising technologies do not receive the contents of your
Parenting Plan or your Parenting Plan answers through Resolve.
Under certain state privacy laws, the use of advertising technologies may be considered a
"sale," "sharing," or use of personal information for targeted advertising even when no money is
exchanged.
Where applicable, you may exercise privacy choices regarding this activity by contacting
support@resolve.family or through any privacy-choice tools we make available on our
website.
We will also honor legally required browser-based opt-out signals when and to the extent
required by applicable law and supported by our systems.
10. How long we keep information
We generally keep your account information and Parenting Plan information while your account
remains active so that you can return to your plan over time.
You may ask us to delete your account and personal information by emailing
support@resolve.family.
We process verified deletion requests within the time required by applicable law.
Deletion may not remove every record immediately.
We may retain certain information when reasonably necessary for:
● legal obligations;
● tax and accounting requirements;
● payment and transaction records;
● fraud prevention;
● security;
● resolving disputes; or
● enforcing agreements.
Residual information may also remain temporarily in backups, logs, or third-party systems until it
is deleted or overwritten according to the applicable provider's retention practices.
If you plan to delete your account, download or export any Parenting Plan you want to keep
before requesting deletion.
11. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live and whether applicable privacy laws apply, you may have rights
concerning your personal information, including the right to:
● know what information we collect and how we use it;
● access personal information we maintain about you;
● correct inaccurate information;
● request deletion;
● obtain a portable copy of certain information;
● opt out of certain sales, sharing, or targeted advertising;
● opt out of certain profiling or automated decision-making;
● appeal certain privacy decisions; and
● exercise privacy rights without unlawful discrimination.
Resolve does not currently use automated systems to make legal or similarly significant
decisions about users.
Sensitive personal information
Some information processed through Resolve may be considered sensitive personal information
under applicable law, including information about children, health, family circumstances, and
other information contained in a Parenting Plan.
We use this information to provide the Resolve service and related functionality.
We do not use Parenting Plan information for targeted advertising or advertising profiling.
12. How to exercise your rights
To submit a privacy request, email:

Please describe what you are requesting and provide the email address associated with your
Resolve account.
We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Depending on the request and applicable law, we may ask for additional information necessary
to confirm your identity or authority.
We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
Where applicable, you may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We
may require proof that the agent is authorized to act for you.
If applicable law gives you a right to appeal a decision about a privacy request, you may submit
an appeal by replying to our decision and including "Privacy Appeal" in the subject line.
13. State-specific privacy disclosures
Privacy rights differ by state.
California
California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, if
and to the extent the law applies to Resolve and the individual request.
Categories of information we may collect include:
● identifiers;
● customer-record information;
● commercial or transaction information;
● internet or electronic-network activity;
● approximate geolocation;
● sensitive personal information; and
● information about family relationships and circumstances provided through the service.
We disclose information to service providers for the purposes described in this Policy.
Our marketing-site advertising technologies may involve activity that is treated as "sharing" or
targeted advertising under applicable privacy law.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of children under 16 for behavioral
advertising.
Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and other states
Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws may have rights to access, correct, delete,
obtain a copy of, or opt out of certain uses of personal information, subject to applicable law and
statutory thresholds.
Some states also provide rights relating to sensitive personal information and appeals of privacy
decisions.
Resolve will honor applicable rights where required.
Nevada
Resolve does not sell personal information for monetary consideration as that term is defined
under Nevada privacy law.
14. Where information is processed
Resolve is operated from the United States.
We and our service providers may process or store information in the United States and other
countries where they operate.
Those countries may have privacy and data-protection laws that differ from the laws where you
live.
Resolve is currently offered only to users in the United States.
15. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
When we do, we will update the Effective Date at the top.
If a change is material, we will provide notice by email, through the service, or through another
appropriate method before the change takes effect where required.
